Daron and Rhetta – Hawaiin Style Wedding

Daron and Rhetta looked wonderful as they said their vows on June 13th.  They had a fun Hawaiian themed wedding!   Pomaika’i (good luck) to you both!  Also a special “great job ” to Daniel as he walked his mother down the isle! Thanks for inviting me to celebrate with you!

Noah’s Temple Portraits – Mitzvah Photography

I meet with my clients for a pre-event meeting .  During that meeting I get to know the family and really listen to their requests and ideas.  Noah’s family decided that their time at the  temple would be about family and their connection to religion.  So we spent our time doing relationship photographs between.. Mom, Dad, Sister and Brother.  It was very powerful to experience so much love between immediate family members.  Becoming a Mitzvah is very significant and deserves a great deal of respect and consideration.  Capturing the right photographs will freeze these moments in time.  Noah will host a party Saturday evening… I will post Noah’s party photographs later this week.  In the mean time – have a great week!

Guglhupf Bakery is not Paying Me

As an event photographer, I  sometimes work several hours non-stop with out eating or taking a break – it just comes with my job.  But, I never -EVER pass up cake and a glass of sweet tea at the end of the evening.  And, when I see a Guglhupf Cake – I am ready. Their cakes are beautiful to photograph and eat.  Guglhupf uses traditional European techniques and their food is prepared daily.  I am not being paid by Guglhupf – but if I was  -I would want it in apple tarts and chocolate gancache cakes!  Cakes and dancing should always be served together.

Museum of Life and Science Durham NC Event Photography

The Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC was the location selected for Justin’s Party!  It was really beautiful and the staff at the Museum were very nice.  The Butterfly House was a great backdrop for cocktails and everyone enjoyed the train ride!  With 65,000 square feet of indoor space and 13 acres of outside exhibits, you’ll discover something new and exciting with each visit to the Museum of Life and Science!   So, I recommend a visit or a party!

Durham NC – Mitzvah Photography BETH EL SYNAGOGUE

Congratulations Justin!  This weekend marks Justin’s Mitzvah.  We meet at Beth El for family photographs on Friday!  Then on Saturday we were at the Museum of Life and Science for a wonderful party.  I promise to post celebration Party photographs later this week.

Engagement Portraits at Duke Gardens

I say this alot, but WOW… I can’t believe the beauty of Duke Gardens.  I am always happy to work there…  I do several weddings there each year and love photographing outside.  I am excited to share with you a special portrait from a recent session.  This couple had a wonderful time and I will be photographing their wedding in June – it is going to be beautiful.  I have lots of great ideas… I never get tired of thinking of creative angles and backdrops at Duke Gardens.

25th Anniversary Party in Renaissance Style

Congratulations on 25th Years of Marriage!!!  This party held in Bahama, NC was a step back in time.  Best Wishes to the Toweys as they travel around the US for the next year!

Tyne Tyson – Celebrate Around the World Bat Mitzvah

For Tyne’s Bat Mitzvah we did an amazing photo session that took us around the world through traditional clothing and accessories!  These photographs were displayed in large 24 x 36 posters around the room on the evening of her Mitzvah Party.  I will post some from her Bat Mitzvah soon!  In the mean, time enjoy these really wonderful images of Tyne!

April Brings Events

We have been busy with lots of great corporate, church and local community events during March and April. I am always so excited to meet new people and share the idea of a well planned event. The photographs from Victorious Praise Fellowship Community church show how much planning and time went into the theme of the event. The Pastor and his wife, Will & Grace celebrated 11 years of service. The event was planned with great success! The speakers were wonderful and everyone celebrated “sailing into their due season.” Our team was hired to capture the event and take formals of individuals and families!
